Job description
- RNs shall be constantly aware of safety considerations and well-being of patients as well as the cleanliness and sanitation of the environment.
- Patients are never to be left unattended or in unsafe situations.
- Patients shall always be under personnel supervision, unless otherwise specified in the treatment plan.
- Providing appropriate medical care to include assessing, observing, and speaking to patients.
- Recording details and symptoms of patient medical history and current health.
- Preparing patients for exams and treatment.
- Administrating medications and treatments, then monitoring patients for side effects and reactions.
- Creating, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans with medical team.
- Assisting in medical procedures as needed.
- Operating and monitoring medical equipment.
- Drawing blood, urine samples, and other body fluids for lab work.
- Educating patients and family members on treatment and care plans, as well as answering their questions.
- Supervising licensed practical and vocational nurses, nursing assistants, and nursing students.
- Following safety protocols and DHS Facility procedures.

- A basic knowledge of computers.
- Ability to adhere to HIPAA standards. Written documentation that the employee has completed HIPPA training shall be provided to the DHS facility.
Shifts Information
- Services may be required on a seven (7) day per week basis and to cover all shifts and/or during a 12-hour shift. Assignments by day or shift, including starting time and hours, will be at the discretion and needs of the DHS Facility.
- Present Nursing Shifts: (subject to change)
The shifts are 6:30a-7p every day of the week and PRN, 2:30p-11p Friday and Saturday and PRN, 10:30p-7a Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday and PRN, and 6:30p-7a PRN.
